Building Basics in Oil Painting Workshop
By Karen Bennett

A word from the Artist:
"Welcome to 'Art on the Farm with Karen', a friendly place to learn, create, and fellowship with friends. With several people interested in learning more about oil painting—and with prayer and planning, I am excited to announce another Building Basics in Oil Painting Workshop workshop. In this workshop, we will do color mixing for more harmonious paintings and start learning the basics to building a good painting, including the 5 basic foundations to painting a great painting. After the group instruction, and the participants start painting, I will go around one-on-one to answer questions. When the class is over, you will not only have a canvas of what you learned that day to take home, but also have a folder packed with information to keep, such as your personal color mixing chart covered and other vital instruction. As a class/workshop participant, you will have access to our private ‘Art on the Farm’ Facebook group page for sharing artwork and staying up to date on announcements and events."

Please email me at karenbennettart@gmail.com for the dates, information, questions and how to sign up.

Karen Bennett

Karen Bennett is an award winning Studio and Plein Air Artist (French term meaning to paint outdoors). Most of her inspiration comes from the many travels with her wonderful husband, Danny and the great outdoors of their family farm. Karen's desire is that others will see and feel the peacefulness of her pastoral scenes, "I want the viewer to see, feel and hear the painting". She has studied under many renowned artists from across the nation and is a member of local and national Art associations. Karen's art has appeared on the HGTV 'Hometown' show and can be found in Art Galleries throughout Mississippi.
